A vixen in a dark room narrows her eyes to peer out on the wet nocturnal neon through a slat in the blinds. Beyond the windowpane, a futuristic urban dystopia vibrates with the chaos of connection forgotten. Hers is a silent realm, the smoke and mirrors of old world seduction. The vanity set where she reddens her lips with wine and contraband raspberries is carved from Arabian wood of a bygone century. A single Damask rose has found its way to her, smuggled through apocalyptic rains of iris powder cut with the pulse of ylang ylang as the earth remembers what she once brought alive. Forbidden leathers, caramel tipped cigarettes and blackcurrant nails ground this beautiful deviant in the future perfect.
