Contemporary photography is the inspiration behind the company’s scent and conceptual development.Ulrich Lang New York selected Roger Szmulewicz, a prominent Belgian dealer in 20th-century photography, as face and muse for its premiere men’s fragrance Anvers, the French word for the city of Antwerp, one of Europe’s style capitals, and where Szmulewicz’s gallery is based.
The Belgian art dealer was photographed by Erik Swain, longtime assistant of renowned fashion photographer Steven Klein.

About the Brand
Ulrich Lang was already a veteran in New York’s publishing arena and had worked with beauty giant L’Oreal when he answered the call of his origins. His grandmother owned a small perfumery in Germany, and compelled by his family history and love of scent, Lang joined forces with longtime friend Britt Biegelsen to launch his eponymous Greenwich Village-based fragrance company in 2003. In an industry of revolving doors. Lang’s scent line has withstood the test of time and continues to delight. A fusion of his passions for perfume and contemporary photography, each bottle is the embodiment of breathtaking packaging design and the unique spirit behind his captivating masterworks.

Our individual hand costumed made fragrance samples are bottled in a lucite 2ml spray atomizer and packaged in a black organza bag.
